Who it's for

The salon owner who does payroll at the counter after closing, with a calculator, a notebook and a technician waiting to ask why their number is what it is.

Features

What it does

Salon Payday — A calendar that shows the money
01

A calendar that shows the money

Every day on the month grid carries what the shop earned that day. Tap a day to fill it in, tap it again to fix a number you got wrong — any day, however far back. The days in the pay period you are in now are shaded, so you can see what payday is adding up.

  • Every way a salon actually pays

Commission at any split, booth rent, or a fixed amount per day worked. Each technician sits on their own arrangement — you do not have to pretend the whole shop is paid the same way.

Salon Payday — Tips counted once, never twice
02

Tips counted once, never twice

Card tips the salon still owes are paid out. Cash tips already in someone's pocket are shown for their records and not paid again. Getting this backwards is the mistake that costs a salon real money every single period.

  • Deductions taken off the right number

A product charge can be a fixed amount or a percent of services, and it comes off before the split rather than after — which is what the arrangement actually says.

Salon Payday — It shows its work
03

It shows its work

Tap any technician for a line-by-line breakdown: earned, tips, deductions, take-home. When someone asks why their cheque is what it is, you have the answer on screen instead of a memory of a spreadsheet.

  • Your salon's numbers never leave the phone

No account, no signup, no cloud, no server. Everything stays on your device and keeps working with the wifi down.

How it works

Simple from the first day

  1. Step 1: Add your team once

Each technician, and how they are paid: a commission split, booth rent, or a day rate. Set when your pay period ends.

  2. Step 2: Close out each day

Tap the day on the calendar and enter what each person rang up and their tips. About a minute at closing.

  3. Step 3: Open payday

Every technician's take-home is already added up, with the breakdown one tap away.

salonpayday@caoinvestment.com
Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup and no login, because there is nowhere to sign in to. Open it and it works.
What does it cost?
Free for up to four technicians. Pro is $9.99 a year and adds unlimited technicians, CSV export, and every past pay period kept instead of just the current one. It renews each year until you cancel it in your phone's subscription settings.
Does it print cheques or file taxes?
No, and it does not try to. It works out what each person is owed and hands you a clean CSV for whoever does your payroll. It is a calculator that remembers, not a payroll service.
Where are my numbers kept?
On your phone, and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to a server, because there is no server. With Pro you can export a CSV whenever you want a copy for your accountant or your own records.
Is it in Vietnamese?
Yes, and in salon Vietnamese rather than textbook Vietnamese — thợ, tiền tip, *thuê ghế*. It follows your phone's language, and Settings lets you switch it without changing anything on the phone itself.
What happens at the end of a pay period?
Nothing you have to do. The cycle rolls over on its own on the date you set — weekly, fortnightly, 1st–15th and 16th–end, or monthly — and the next period starts empty. Nothing is ever locked: a day from three periods ago is one tap away and still editable, because a salon corrects last week's numbers all the time and an app that refuses just gets worked around on paper.
