Who it's for

The chủ hụi. The person who agreed to hold the book because somebody had to, and who now fields the calls. Usually running more than one circle, usually from memory and a notebook, and usually the only person who knows where everything stands.

Features

What it does

Sổ Hụi — The circle, drawn as a circle
01

The circle, drawn as a circle

Your hụi is a ring of the people in it. Filled means they have taken the pot. The marked one is whose turn it is now. The middle carries the round number and what the pot is worth. One look answers the question everybody rings you to ask — which is the question this app exists for.

  • This round, in the order you do it

Who owes, who has paid, what is left to collect. Record a payment in two taps: the amount is already filled in with what that person owes, because that is almost always what they hand you. Part payments are fine and the balance carries to the next time.

Sổ Hụi — Every person's position, without doing sums
02

Every person's position, without doing sums

Tap anyone to see what they have put in, what they have taken out, and where that leaves them. No mental arithmetic, no scrolling back through a notebook, no "let me check and call you back".

  • A statement you can send

One member's own record as a message — their turn, what they have paid, what they have received, what they owe. It goes into whatever they already use, and it contains nobody else's business. They stop asking; you stop explaining.

Sổ Hụi — It checks its own arithmetic
03

It checks its own arithmetic

A hụi with no interest is a savings circle: when it closes, everybody is square to the cent. The app tests itself against that. If a number were wrong, the books would not close — and they do.

  • It works on paper's terms

Rounds get taken while somebody still owes into them. People pay half now and half later. Somebody leaves. The book handles all of that the way the paper one does, because that is what actually happens.

How it works

Simple from the first day

  1. Step 1: Open the book

Name the hụi, enter what each person puts in, and type everyone's names one per line in the order they take the pot.

  2. Step 2: Record what people hand you

When someone pays, tap their name and save — the amount is already filled in. Part payments carry over.

  3. Step 3: Mark the round taken

When the pot is handed over, mark it. The ring moves on to whose turn is next.

huiledger@caoinvestment.com
Does it need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no server. Everything is on the phone, and a statement is a message you send yourself.
Does it hold or move money?
No, and it cannot. It is a record of cash that changed hands somewhere else.
What if I stop paying for Pro?
Every book you kept stays readable. The free tier is one complete hụi and the cap is on starting a second, never on reading what you have already written. Your members' records are not a hostage.
What does it cost?
One complete hụi free forever — every member, every round, no limits inside it. Pro is $9.99 a year and adds as many circles as you run, plus the per-member statement.
